Aloe Vera Gel as a makeup primer?

I recently found out that some people use aloe Vera gel as a makeup primer?? How well does this even work?

I tried it... Not very well! I tried using the gel ones and it my foundation look weird and flake... The real stuff is not ideal either.

I use it as a moisturizer, especially in the summer, I would let it sit for a while though. And personally I would use a green tinted one to help with redness. I mostly only use it in the summer though. It feels really refreshing and personally I didn't notice anything weird with my foundation

I used to use it but experienced the same as Kitty...once it dried, it flake, not dry flakes, but like gooey flakes...lol. I do apply it straight from the plant sometimes at night, though. great moisturizer.

I use it like Sadie does, and then I put my moisturizer on, then my primer. I really woulent think it was a primer at all.

I've never heard of that I use sunblock/sunscreen underneath all of my makeup and its works wonders :)
