I'm looking to invest in some good brushes, specifically a foundation brush for my liquid foundation. Do you recommend Morphe or Makeup Geek? Also if you have a favorite brush from either of those brands I would love to know!

I only have Morphe brushes and they're amazing. Anything from the ELITE collection is a no-brainer. I mostly have the ELITE line. I do have a few from the FLAWLESS line but those are hit & miss. The GUNMETAL line is also very good. I just prefer the wooden handles of the ELITE line as opposed to metal handles. But the actual bristles are super soft. I have a lot of favorites but I'm at work and don't know the brush #s by heart. I'll list my favs later. Foundation, concealer, blush, highlighter and more.

I've never tried Makeup Geek brushes, nor have I delved deep into the world of Morphe, but I do have some Morphe synthetic brushes (eye blenders and a powder brush) and they're very soft. I still prefer natural bristles to them, but for a cream product like foundation I imagine their brushes would be very nice. All of my brushes are from the gunmetal collection.

Here are some of my Morphe brushes. I have a lot more (esp. eye brushes) but these are really special to me.
1. E25 I believe it's a foundation brush but I use it to blend out concealer, the shape fits perfectly under my eyes, the tapered fit really gets into the corner of my eyes.
2. E44 Deluxe buffing brush. This foundation brush is amazing. It's so soft and dense and big. It covers large areas really quickly. I have other Morphe foundation brushes which are also amazing, this one is my fav. Even though this brush is really dense, it has a soft "give" to it. So the combination of the density, size and "give" gives it almost a beauty-blender kinda of experience. It's like a brush/sponge hybrid.
3. E7 Angled foundation brush. Dense, super soft and angled. The smaller size and angle makes blending around the nose a pleasure. Really gets in those corners around the nose also around the temples.
4. M173 Not exactly sure what this brush is for, but I originally bought it to buff on undereye concealer and it worked well. But I found my E25 much gentler, faster and easier to get in the inner corners better. So I use this brush to buff on my shadow primer. I use a flesh toned primer so it really needs to be blended well.
5. M438. I'm pretty sure this is for setting your concealer and it does it well, but I use it for powder highlighter. Love it's tulip shape and pointy tip. And it's very soft.
6. M556 Again, don't know what this is for, but I was searching for a smaller than usual blush brush and this fit the bill. Not as soft and dense as the Elite blush brush but the Elite blush brushes were just too dense for the purpose I was looking for and placed too much color on all at once. This round top, fluffy, smaller brush gives me a more air brushed finish and because of the smaller size , I have more control over product placement.
7. E20 Not sure what this is for. This is one of the few brushes I bought online (I bought most of my brushes from the physical Morphe store). I thought it was going to be smaller, I was planning on using it as a blending eye brush but when I received it, it has huge! So I use it to set my shadow primer with a beige base shadow. 3 swipes each eye...done!
8. E33 Fan Brush. I think most use a brush like this for highlighters, but I use it as a finishing brush to make sure my contour, blush and bronzer are all blended and to buff out excess product off my face. It's size, and softness does not disturb my makeup. I think it's the most luxurious fan brush Morphe carries, although they do have some other great ones in their other lines. I have another brand fan brush almost like this one that I use to dust bronzer on my neck.

You are welcome. If you're looking for a specific type of brush, let me know, it's possible I have it. All the ELITE brushes are synthetic, so they work well with either powder or cream/liquid products. The other lines are a mixed bag except for the vegan line, which is obviously synthetic ). I don't know if I have any natural hair brushes. But I do know I don't have any of the white goat hair brushes. I'm not a fan of goat hair. Some of their goat hair brushes are a little softer than others, but even the softer ones are too rough for me. Apparently it depends where on the goat the hair came from and if the hair tips have been it's
cut. If you have & like the cult favorite Mac 217 blending brush you may like the Morphe goat hair brushes. I've heard some of the Morphe brushes have she'd after washing. Like I said, hit & miss. Except for the ELITE line. I've never heard anyone complain Morphe Elite brushes.

I recently got the G6 for my foundation and my god... this brush is amazing. It's SO SO SO dense, so no streakiness, it buffs foundation in beautifully. And it's unbelievably soft. I didn't know brushes could be this soft. I will say though, because it's so incredibly dense, it's kind of a pain to clean.
