I'm kinda hoping the trends in 2016 lean towards more natural makeup looks in general. (Just my own hope). I did a look that ended up only semi-natural because I did apply false lashes. Please let me know what you guys think!
Products: Ellis Faas foundation, ABH Brow Wiz in Soft Brown (I think) and NYX brow shadow. Eyes: Mac painterly to prime, then I chose two brown shades from the Viseart neutral mattes palette and swept them in my crease and slightly above, and I used a skin toned shadow from the same palette for my kids. False lashes are from House of Lashes. I used a mixture of several shades from the Senna neutrals blush palette just to give a soft wash of color, and for lipstick I used Youngblood Cedar Sugar. And that's it! I tried to keep it simple. Any thoughts are welcome!

Sorry for the resting B face, I have to watch out for those crows feet! I forgot to mention that I also swept the brown shadow under my eyes. I also tightened with a brown eye pencil.

Where did you find a Senna Neutral blush palette? I see one called Cheeky, but they don't look neutral!

Is it Cheeky Blush 1?

Hi Chris! I got mine at The Makeup Show. One is neutral matte, the other is vivid. I'll have to get home and look on the back to see if they have a name that I'm not sure about. Both the palettes are cream to powder and they have either 8 or 10 colors in them, I think it's 8. I'll post again when I get home!

Yes girl it is the Cheeky Blush Palette! I never knew it was called that! How funny. I also have one in more neutral tones but I didn't see that on their website.

Thank you Kathryn! Looks nice! Do I need that many colors thought, when I have so many individual ones? Your thoughts?

Looks great! I definitely hope the trend swings back to a more natural look too; it's just more universally flattering. But even if it doesn't, natural never goes out of style so it's all good!

Chris in my little opinion, it just depends on how makeup obsessed you are. I got the palette because I'm a working makeup artist. For personal use, I would say you don't necessarily NEED that many, however there is no other cream blush like them. They settle into a powder finish, and applied as normal they stay looking like a wash of color, or you can build up the intensity. They work for all skin tones, and you can mix different colors together to make even more colors. But I think my fav thing to do with it, is use whatever blush I've chosen as the lipstick also. It ties everything together in a natural, beautiful way. So I guess it's really just about how much you want in your makeup stash. I can also say that since I've bought the palettes, I have very rarely ever gone back to my powder blush palettes. Maybe splurge on it for a birthday or holiday!

I don't think you'll ever regret the purchase. My last academy instructor, Orlando Santiago, recommended them to me and I got hooked!

Ooooo...where do you lovelies purchase Senna blush? I think a cream-ish formula would be more friendly for my winter skin. Although it'll have to wait til next winter probably. lol.

Katherine, what do you use to apply the blushes? You have flawless skin and flawless application - on everything I've seen you do! What do you use for contour?

Tina just google it! You can buy from their website or from stores that carry their brand!

Chris for the blush I use one of two brushes... I'll have to send pics. One is a medium size duo fiber brush, one is a small, dense blush brush from Sephora. (Oh and girl, my skin is so not flawless, I just neutralize first and make sure I use full coverage makeup). For contour do you mean what products or what brushes? I can send pics of everything if you want!  :)

Ok I'll just go ahead and tell you my contour products just because I obviously love talking makeup! 😳
For cream, (which is my fav), I use either the RCMA Highlight and Contour palette, (it has the BEST contour shade plus it has peach toned highlighter in it, it's perfect) or I use the Smashbox Pencil Trio. The Smashbox comes with a highlighter pencil and a bronzer pencil, which I throw away. I just love that contour pencil. It can be dark, so I use a light hand.
For powder, I have found I like the colors in the KVD palette above the ABH and the NYX. However, NYX blush in Taupe is an excellent contour color, that's what I use on myself for everyday. I want to try the Kevyn Aucoin Sculpting powder, I just have to budget so I haven't bought it yet. I can say I tried the Tom Ford Shade and Illuminate cream contour duo, and no matter what I did I couldn't make it work for me. It's greasy. Some people love it, it just did not work on me.
