My birthday was Saturday and have decided to finally get a few MUG shadows!! I am sooo excited!! Can you all recommend good shades that will suite me? Thanks!!

I think you will really like mug shadows, the quality is good, in case you are wondering about the duo chrome shadows those are the only ones I have and there nice the duo chome thogh isnt to intence but regardless there nice I found the colors very nive even though the duo chrome isnt as good as some shadows with the same duo chrome style from too faced.

I agree, the duochrome shad aren't as intense as I thought they would be. But they're hit and miss. Phantom and Secret Garden are beautiful, and you can play around with packing it on dry and wet, blending it out, using a white or black base for different effects. As for their regular shadows, my favorites are probably Bitten, Unexpected, Vintage, Bedrock, Peach Smoothie, and Americano.

MUG and ABH are my fav eyeshadow brands ever. I have four z palettes full of them. If you tell me what colors you're interested in, I can post a pic of some swatches. They are way better than Mac in quality, just in my opinion. I use Peach Smoothie and Creme Brûlée nearly every day. I also use In The Spotlight and Bitten all the time. Americano, Cherry Cola, I have a ton of favs. Oh and Shimma Shimma is a must!!

From the look of your pic you seem to have fair to medium skin, and what's your undertone hun? I can't tell in the pic (sorry! 😳). You have brown/hazel eyes so you're lucky, you can wear a lot of shades. I have a client about to walk in the door but when she leaves I'll go through my z palettes and swatch some that are easy to work with and good colors for you!

In my cart I have cocoa bear, creme brûlée, peach smoothie, Shimma Shimma, Starry eyed.
Are those good initial choices?

Absolutely! I use Peach Smoothie and Creme Brûlée as my transition colors alllll the time. Shimma Shimma is a great highlighter for the inner corner, under brow, even on your cheekbones.
Americano is a nice dark brown for your outer V, Coco Bear is a good medium to dark brown.
I've noticed that burgundy seems to be hugely popular in eye looks lately, and Bitten and Cherry Cola are two red-based Browns that are so gorgeous!! I'll swatch them for you. Bitten is a little lighter, Cherry Cola is a little darker.
In The Spotlight is a must have, imo. It's a peach foiled (I THINK it's foiled) shadow, and it brightens the mobile lid and pairs wonderfully with Bitten or Cherry Cola.
Magic Act is a gold that you simply can't miss out on. It's so gorgeous. Grandstand is another gold that's a little deeper and darker. I'll swatch some right now.

Grandstand looks purple in that pic. It must have several reflects in it. When I look at the swatch in person, it looks like a peachy gold.
