Whenever I put eyeshow on during the day, it always end up gathered in the crease of my eye lid. How can I prevent this from happening?

Hi Rebekah, do you use an eyeshadow primer before you apply your eyeshadow?

I like to use a primer. If you're using a good primer even cheap shadows won't crease. I like urban decay primer potion. I use it on every one of my clients and it has never let me down. It also helps to use a cream shadow on top of your primer and then apply a powder on the cream shadow. If you do that combo (primer, cream, shadow) it will NOT move!

Definitely sounds like you need a primer, and if you are using one, maybe the one you have is junk? I've discovered that most drugstore primers never work for me...I have wicked oily eyelids. I use Too Faced Shadow Insurance, and then I set it with a skin-toned shadow (that's all preference though, not everyone does that) which helps the primer stay put and to make shadow application easier.

Thank you everyone! I thought of using a primer but wasn't sure if it would stop it gathering over long periods.?? xxx

Definitely use a primer! It will change how your eyeshadows looks and also how it last.

I recommend Urban Decay Primer Potion (Sin is my favorite, the Original is great too), Too Faced Shadow Insurance, Lorac,
and Milani are also great.

I agree, definitely use a primer (or you can be lazy like me and use concealer, works just fine)
