What Zafira has pictures and described is a gradient eye and not a smokey eye.
A smokey eye is characterized by being darkest on the lid and fade upwards. So you'd apply your darkest gray to the lid, a lighter gray into the crease, and then your brow bone highlight shade making sure one color transitions smoothly into the next
