So over the last two years I've gone through a bottle of the Mario Badescu vitamin c serum, the philosophy powder vitamin c that you mix into moisturizer (I forget what it's called) and a sample of ole henriksen vitamin c serum. For Christmas I bought the Lumene vitamin c beauty drops because I use their bright now vitamin c bb cream and love it! This is definitely the best vitamin c serum I've ever used. It's only been a week and already my acne scars have faded so much! There's 28 beauty drops in the package and it costs $23 and change. So maybe a little pricey since it only lasts a month but it's worth it!! Makes my skin feel so smooth and glowy!

I've used all of the products you mentioned. The Lumene drops contain ascorbic acid, as do all the other products listed, vs. Ester C. The caplets are protected from air and light and so that's a bonus, but ascorbic can be irritating to some with sensitive skin. I'm surprised you didn't see results with Badescu as it packs 7.5% Ascorbic Acid. Glad you like them! Lumene is a great line.

I think what happened with the Mario badescu serum was it was fading my scars but I was getting small red new pimples so maybe I didn't notice the difference as much? You said it has more acorbic acid so maybe the serum was irritating my skin. So far no irritations with this luckily. We will see how it goes in the next few weeks. Also the philosophy booster powder burned when I put it on after mixing it but this doesn't burn at all.

That's completely understandable. Both products you tried previously contain relatively high amounts of Ascorbic acid and so if skin becomes irritated, you use it less and less..and that impacts results. Ester C is much more gentle and costly.
I have often recommended the Lumene as it has the same textural feel as the C I use from my derm, but I always am sure to note that it contains fragrance. If they removed the fragrance, I'd be delighted. Don't you just love how smooth the skin feels after applying? It's like glass.
Pairing C with a Hyaluronic and Niacinamide
Moisturizer, such as CeraVe AM/PM will boost results. You probably know this, but it is important to use a broad spectrum sunscreen daily..even on cloudy, winter days. Really happy they are working out for you!

Thank you! Yes my skin feels so amazingly smooth afterwards I have to stop myself from touching results.
I knew about the sun screen but maybe I will look into those moisturizers to try and help speed up my results.
Lumene is definitely one of my favorite brands. Luckily the fragrance doesn't bother me or seem to irritate my skin much. Their bb cream makes my skin look so glowy and doesn't make me break out. Wish they made some lighter shades though it's hard to pull it off in the winter.
