So I need another job and there's a restaurant around here hiring for waitresses. (Pretty fancy restaurant on the water). But you have to apply in person so you can meet the manager. I plan on going down today to apply but I have no idea what to wear! Help please :(

Smart! Black tapered trousers or smart black skirt and a chiffon shirt or blouse and ballet pumps or smart boots. First impressions are the ones that last. I wouldn't advise leggings, tshirts or sandals

Yeah, don't be afraid to go for colour. I work for a very highly regarded supermarket known for incredible customer service, and I wore a neat real dress for my interview with a maroon blazer and black tights. Don't feel that you have to go for "suit" clothes, just dress neatly and formally, and dress appropriately - no heels! You won't be wearing them as a waitress, so wear flats - it makes it easier for the interviewer to picture you in that role. Same principle applies to hair and nails - put your hair up and keep your nails short and clean with no polish - it'll make it easier to imagine you doing the job!
