Hey guys 👋🏽
so I'm going to be going to a new school and I need to go shopping bec they have a really strict dress code and I don't even own enough clothes that can be worn to school.
1 collar bone needs to be covered
2 elbows need to be covered
3 knees need to be covered
4 no pants
5 no flip flops
6 no offensive words on your shirt
Umm do you have any cute outfit ideas? Also where should I shop?
Thank you💜
Also wish me good luck because I don't know a soul from that skl everyone is going to be new and I'm kinda...nervous😬

How in the world do you cover knees without pants?! Maybe a black poodle skirt will do it, and a solid pink or blue collared shirt. Good luck shopping

As for the pants I have no clue. Do they want you to wear khakis?

No they mean only skirts but they have to be long enough to reach your knee sorry if that wasn't clear.

Well maybe a maxi skirt and a button up shirt like @Rosie said.

Also I feel like overshirts and jackets will be your best friend because you can always roll up the sleeves to where you need.

I agree with Rosie.

Maybe you should check out 50s inspired style because the 50s is all I can think about after reading that list.
Seriously though! 50s inspired would actually be cute <3

It is very common dress code in many Baptist schools and other religious educational institutions to require knees being covered with a skirt and such.
Fearless, look to be inspired by a wealth of sources from a variety of eras...such as grunge fashion from the 90's and 'Boho' styles you see commonly today.
Early-to-mid 90's floral, ankle-length skirt styles and solid, dark-toned broom skirts paired with lace, crochet and t-shirts with flannels are once again wildly popular and should be easy to find. These are/were often paired with Mary Janes, flat-styled knee high boots, booties, combat boots, or brogues. Chuck Taylors with skirts is also really cute. This look can offer you a bit of edge while remaining fun.
Flowing Bohemian style...that combination of the 'summer of love' culture, and historic, Romanian-inspired 'peasant' cut blouses and long, loose clothing can cover up while still being stylish and comfortable. This is forever feminine and again, very popular so you should be able to find quite a bit of options while shopping. You can also wear any A-line or pencil skirt that covers the knee cap completely...but most likely your school is looking for the hem to fall just above mid-calf.
Maxi skirts are everywhere right now in a variety of fabrics and styles. They can all be paired with a simple denim jacket as weather gets cooler, where tights, working in layers, cardis and scarves all work to your advantage for both warmth and style.
3/4 length-sleeved blouses, tees, and cardis are everywhere, including on clearance racks and will continue to move in for newer Fall racks. They can be slightly edgy and fun or bring a softer side if that's what your tastes are; it's all about how you wear something and what you pair it with. Accessories can really help you define a style and elevate it to a new level.
Some Rockabilly and Gothabilly looks feature long pencil skirts (you can find then in stretch fabric that's soft, breathable cotton) and/or rock an adorable, classic or gothic cardi solo or with a tank beneath and slightly unbuttoned. This will still cover the collar bone. I don't know what and if your school considers offensive, but there are a lot of fun jerseys right now, including rock jerseys...which is a throwback to the late 70's and 80's. Bandage style skirts are also increasing in popularity. It's going to be your own personal tastes, style, and comfort level that will decide which suits you best.
If you Google image search "2016 long skirt fashion" a ton of outfits, shopping, and hopefully inspiration should pop up.
This article from 2014 has some creative and fun/stylish ways to wear maxi skirts.

I'd look to see if thick tights or knit leggings beneath a skirt that falls just to the knee, but doesn't show any skin counts as covering the knee based on your school rules. That may bring you further flexibility.
Hope that helps and best of luck at your new school. :)

I would definitely recommend getting several midi skirts and 3/4 length sleeve cardigans- that way you can wear some of your current shirts underneath. If your school doesn't have any objections, you can really make it cute with a statement necklace or belt :)

Maybe you can look up the school on google (or instagram) and see if there are any pictures taken at that school with students in it. :)
