To wear makeup or not on an airplane?

Hi everyone! Tomorrow I am going on an airplane to NC. I am leaving at 10 and getting there at 2 in the afternoon. I don't know if I should wear makeup or not.. I don't feel like it cause my face always gets so dried out, but I feel like I shouldn't look like a zombie meeting my friend. Suggestions? If you wear makeup on the airplane, what do you wear to keep your skin from drying out so much? Thanks guys:)

I usually wear light makeup.. powder, lipstick, maybe blush
you can carry some makeup on the plane and apply it before the plane lands if you don't want to wear makeup during the flight, as for hydration I can't help you I have oily skin, I think you can use a face mist

Do not use a face mist it will dry your skin out even more. I suggest using the time to pamper yourself with a face mask whether it be a sheet mask or a cream or gel, water based mask. I wouldn't recommend make up on an airplane since the air in the plane is really really dry and will wreak havoc on your skin. Be gentle and always make sure you're well moisturized. Drink lots of water and bring Chapstick, your lips will show you first if you're dehydrated. Bring a little make up bag in your carry on and if you can try to do your make up once they announce the landing or right after you get off the plane in the restroom, wash your hands first if you're not using brushes. Hope this helps! Happy travels and don't worry if people look at you funny. You'll be the one with glowing skin at the end of the plane ride while they look tired and haggard. 💙

I usually wear makeup on a plane if I know I'll be seeing/meeting someone after I get off. I have extremely oily skin so the dry air in the plane doesn't affect me very much. But if you do decide on wearing makeup, I suggest tinted moisturizer or a bb cream, mascara just to make your eyes pop, and some Chapstick.

I tend not to wear makeup on planes. I agree with Illyana, go with a hydrating mask and then apply makeup when you get off the plane.

10am-2pm is only 4 hours... You should be fine... Unless you meant 10pm the night before - in that case I would suggest you go minimal on the plane and bring a small make up bag to touch up before you land - that's what I do on long flights between the states and Europe - I usually just wear a bb or cc cream and some waterproof mascara and a lip stain balm - then I bring a small makeup bag with a stick concealer (nothing liquid cause I don't like dealing with security) and a stick blush cream - lipstick and a cream color corrector in peach cause I rarely get sleep on the plane and look like a zombie like you mentioned and the color corrector works better than any concealer - and that helps me look alive once I get off the plane :P hope that helps!

I travel a lot and when I get home I'm usually so tired that I end up going to sleep in my makeup so I stopped doing a full face and only eyes, lips and some kind of moisturizer with spf. But you should be ok because ull get there in the afternoon as opposed late at night.

Wow thank you all so much! I needed up doing clear grow gel, clear mascara, and some powder. I put a very heavy moisturizer under it and it was great! Thank you all so much for the detailed advice!!
