Does anyone have any suggestions for good eye shadow brands? I can't seem to find eye shadow that will stay on my eye lids for more than two or three hours, at the most. it always fades, is that because of the brand?

It could be the brand or like was said the lack of a eye primer could do it also... I've used my two faced shadow insurance with wet & wild shadows and it has lasted a 9hr shift at a restaurant with minimal creasing which I actually expected more of.

I really like my Lorac Pro 2 pallet, it has a variety of shades. Has great pigmentation, goes on smooth and when used with a primer (I use MAC Painterly Pots ) never creases (and I know because I have tested it while at work at Starbucks lol )

@SailorMoon I do use a primer. I get it from Mary Kay. Is there a better brand of primer I should use?

That's a problem that I have a lot, Tiffany, that the shadow creases. I hate it when it does that. I have so much eye shadow, but never wear it because it creases. But like I told Sailor, I use a Mary Kay eye primer first. So I don't think that's the problem...? Thanks Lisa! Although, I have tried Wet & Wild products and have not been satisfied with them, because for me they never seem to work for very long.

It could be that that particular primer doesn't work for you. I have very hooded eyes and I find that some primers work for me and some don't. I love the Lorac Behind The Scenes Eye Primer, it keeps my shadows in place all day long. The Lorac Pro palettes are also my holy grails so I highly suggest picking one of those up and it comes with a sample size of the primer (:

I use the Mary Kay primer and it does work. I them usually set my entire lid with a base shadow or translucent powder, then my shadows. For some reason that seems to work for me. I've found shimmer shades are usually the ones that crease more. Lately I've been using The Balm shadows from Autobalm California pallette and the Rust Kat Von D quad and both have not creased. I'd test out a few other eye primers too though, a cheap one I like is the NYX HD eye primer but I'm using up others right now.

Thanks Alexis! I'll try the Lorac product and see what I think of it. I do not have oily eyes, Sailor. Its probably the brand of primer that doesn't work for me. Thanks though! I appreciate all the help I can get!

Ok, so I went to the dollar store for the dollar store makeup and everything I found was pretty much crap, but this one eyeshadow palette was really nice actually. It was the Profusion palette, five colors. The texture was slightly weird, but it was very pigmented. If you want to avoid the dollar store, I really LOVE the Wet n Wilds and Urban Decays.

I used to be a fan of Too Faced and UD eyeshadow primers. Until I tried Nars- I don't have oily eyelids but the Nars is the best I've tried, no contest.
