Sensitive eye area

So I use normal mascara (not waterproof) and at the end of the day I use water and Neutrogena make-up wipes to take it off. I use water first then go straight to the wipes and I don't rub hard at all just enough to actually take it off. So my problem is, when I cleanse my face or take off my mascara my under eye area gets really red and burns and I don't know why. It only started happening like last week, or close to that. If you have any ideas as to why this is happening or how to fix it I would really appreciate it! Thanks!

Are the neutrogena wipes new in your routine? You might want to switch to an oil, apply on cotton pad to your eye and wash off.

That happened to me too for a while and never knew why. Now I put olive oil on a large cotton ball and wipe my makeup off with that. Really good for your skin too!

My face got burnt from the neutrogena wipes, I threw them away and stuck with the Micellar water to remove my eye makeup.

I thoroughly enjoy coconut oil for taking off stubborn eye makeup. I just make sure to follow with my regular cleanser to make sure I don't have oil residue anywhere on my face.

I have been using the Neutrogena wipes for a while but maybe I will change to a different remover. Thank you ladies!

You should try Garnier micellar water to remove makeup on a cotton pad. its very gentle and even waterproof makeup just breaks down. its worth a try, if not coconut oil is great as mentionned. it makes me break out when I leave it on for too long so I don't use it but it will be very gentle.

I would use only pure cotton on my eyes and face...either puffs or a soft all cotton washcloth. If you aren't prone to Milia or clogged pores, organic, cold pressed coconut oil followed by Bioderma Sensibio H20. This formulation is incredibly gentle. It comes in a trial/travel size, which lasts quite a bit. (Coconut Oil is naturally antibacterial.)

If you are prone to clogged pores, cold pressed Jojoba oil is gentle and effective.

Thank you! I tried olive oil today and it worked really well! No burning! (It was the only thing recommended that I had)

I love using coconut oil to remove makeup. however it can clog pores so I definitely recommend following with a cleanser to remove it from your face. I have very sensitive skin and it hasn't broken me out.
