Should I leave it as it is?

So I've got a pretty good skincare routine going now and it's working pretty well for me. I was just wondering if I should keep it as it is seeing as though it's doing ok for me or do I need something else in it? My skin is dry and sometimes flaky.

Morning routine:
Wash my face with the cerave hydrating cleanser
Use a wash cloth to do a little exfoliation
Use Paulas choice re balancing toner (think that's what it's called)
Apply cetraben moisturiser
Apply some jojoba oil on top

My night time routine is the same I just use the vanity planet ultimate spa system silicone brush with my face wash, I sometimes use the BHA from Paulas choice too and I do the odd mask.

If you feel your skin care is working for you, you don't have to change it. You can go ahead and add serums with antioxidants benefits or mess around with other oils. You can also get professional treatments done such as chemical peels or microdermabrasions. As long as you maintain a balanced routine, you can add extras for when you see fit. As a dry skin gal, I love adding in serums. I find them very helpful and moisturizing. Have you considered adding in a serum? I have also been wanting to incorporate the Paulas Choice Niacinamide booster.. my skin responds well to Niacinamides for evening out skin tone over Vitamin C.

Paula's Choice makes amazing AHA and BHA exfoliants, which will help your washcloth get rid of dead skin that's ready to come off. They also have antiaging properties. I think everybody can benefit from having one of those ingredients as a staple in their skincare, but you seem to have a simple, but effective thing going. My only other suggestion would be to make sure that SPF is the absolute last thing you apply in the morning before makeup, because other skincare (like jojoba oil) applied on top can mess with your sun protection.

Good luck!

Kitty - I have been considering a serum but I have no idea where to start.
Leuca - I will definitely add SPF to my routine!
Thank you both for your detailed replies! :)

Glad to help, Danielle!

Is there a particular issue you're interested in addressing? Such as pigmentation, redness, dryness, sensitivity, anti-aging, etc. and a particular budget range?

I have a bit of redness and dryness. My budget doesn't really matter :)

Danielle I am also from the UK and this last winter I merely added Vit E oil (from Naissance/Amazon) after my Monsia night repair cream. I was told that Vit E oil over moisturizer locks in moisture. I must admit that in the morning my face felt great and mobile, didn't have that tight feeling that it used to have (because the central heating dries the air).
