Is it possible to use a liquid foundation instead of a concealer. I've never really been one to wear either but I really wanted to cover the dark circles under and around my eyes. They seem to cost the same but I don't really know the big difference other than the size.

It depends on the formula. For example, if it's a dewy foundation & you have oily undereyes, you may have a problem. It you have dry undereyes & you use a matte foundation, you may have a problem. Everyone is different, you're going to have to experiment. Also, most foundations don't give as much coverage as concealers do, although there are exceptions and also depending on how dark you are.

I agree with everything Marleen said! Personally, I would go for a concealer instead of foundation. You could always use it with some moisturizer to make it thinner and use that as foundation. And then use the regular concealer to conceal around your eyes! :)

It definitely depends on the formula like Marleen mentioned.
I don't think the finish is as important as the coverage.
For example, using a sheer foundation and trying to use it as concealer to cover under the eyes would result in needing a lot of layers and ending up with a cakey look
But if you bought a fuller coverage cream foundation then that'd be better since a lot of those double as concealers due to the pigmentation.
For example, the MAC Studio Finish SPF 35 concealer is pretty much just a smaller version (with SPF) of the MAC Full Coverage foundation.
I've used both as concealer and foundation to test it out and they're very much, the same product.
So, it just depends on the coverage of the foundation and/or the darkness under your eyes, if they're not that dark you could even get away with using a medium coverage foundation

I would prefer my infalable 24 hour matte foundation then to my Mac concealer 💋

I've recently started using my foundation under my eyes instead of concealer using my fingers to tap it in and I don't think foundation alone would cover dark circles, I don't personally have any dark circles to cover but I do find that it smooths out the area a lot to use my fingers there both with foundation and concealer and tap it in rather than when I use a brush/sponge. :)
