I've been making lists for one brand makeup looks and I've run out of brands, lol!

What are some of your favorite makeup brands and products from those brands? Any particular reason why you love those brands so much?

Drugstore or high end brands!

I'm starting to think I love too faced. I have the born this way foundation and my skin looks so amazing and natural when I wear it. I look like a different person. I believe you mentioned a blush palette from them? I'm in the hunt for new blush. I use the same old peachy color, it works but maybe I want a new peach color 😂

I love the body shop extra virgins cream foundation (of course disco ugh) and their all in one face base to set. Also, their moisture foundation is so moisturizing on the skin. I'm not a huge fan of them but those and their baked blushes go on beautifully.

Agreed with Danielle. I love Too Faced, hands down my favorite brand. It's definitely the only brand where I have never been disappointed with a product of theirs. I find their eyeshadows to be my favorite because their blendable, creamy, and pigmented. I tried a sample of the born this way and it made my skin look super nice and glowy I just never got around to buying it lol. Also, I love the chocolate soleil in milk! Hands down my favorite bronzer, although I know you love it too lol.

Thank you, Danielle! I do have a blush palette from Too Faced; they don't sell it anymore but you can get the blushes individually since the palette is just all of their Love Flush blushes and they have a peach/orangey color (:

Thank you, Dana! I do really love that bronzer (:

For me... Pretty much MAC honestly even though it's kinda overrated these days by some. It's been my one-stop shop for a few years now.
I've tried lots of different brands the past few years but end up going back to using MAC.
I'm a huge fan of their Retro matte, Matte, Satin and amplified lipstick formulas.
Most their foundations work on my skin especially since I'm very oily, the color selection is great.
What else... Eyeshadows, I like their range "Amber Lights" being my all-time favorite/everyday color since it reminds me of the gold jewelry from Asia and the color of gold fabric we use for embroidery.
I feel like they have quite a few gold shades so you can find one, whatever your undertone/preference is.

As far as mascara, I think the only higher end brand I go back to is Lancôme. Idk what it is exactly but their mascaras are definitely worth the price. I have thick lashes and I find most formulas are either too thick or too thin.
Thicker formulas end up making my lashes clump up easily, thinner formulas end up not giving me the right look.
The Lancôme formula and mascara wands are just perfect IMO.

I think the second place I go to if I can't find something from MAC would be MUFE which is one of those brands that pretty much has everything too.
I like their purple eyeshadows(the Mac ones I've tried aren't as vibrant and/or too much shimmer)

Thank you, ladies! I really haven't used anything from MUFE so I'll definitely add them to my list (:

I have two in particular. KVD is one of my top favorites. You can't go wrong with any of her products. I love the everlasting liquid lipsticks. I tend to stick to the more neutral colors but there are a wide range of different colors. I love KVD tattto liner. Another brand I recently really liked was Inglot. I tried the AMC cream concealer and I like it over Mac Studio finish pots. Inglot has many products and variety.

I'm all on board with MUFE. Like Sailor, they have *never* let me down. Their foundation is my HG, but they have great shadows, sprays, gel liner...just a great variety of high quality products. If you don't have any Viseart shadows,..Lawdy, they are a dream. Best shadows I have ever used.

Oh! My favorite from the drugstore is Revlon Laquer Balms, Colorburst Matte Lips, and Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain Sticks. Long wearing with very little transfer after blotting, gorgeous colors. Never dries me out. I always, always have one in my purse.

Ulta has them buy 1 get one 50% off right now. I own then in nearly every color, but mostly wear the bold and vamp colors.

I love the Pur minerals (brand*) they have great stuff for my teen skin. And also loving the covergirl colourlicous lipsticks. Lastly love the Paula's choice tinted moisturizer.

Meagan, I love the KVD liquid lipsticks as well! Thank you!

Thank you, Rozberry! I've been so back and forth of whether or not I should get a Viseart palette, lol, but I might just have to get one!

Thanks, Sophia! (:

I love stila. I think they are such an under rated brand. the stay all day foundation is my HG. I also really love Nars.

Thank you, Kelly! I forgot about NARS, I'll have to add it to my list (:

Bet, do you have the Elf illuminating palette? Just lovely.

Thanks, Bet! I think I'm going to check out the ELF display when I'm work tomorrow (:

I totally agree about a full look with MUFE :)

And I'd like to add, try Clinique! I've often been impressed with their products and I can safely say that a look using only their products is very doable! I've got to say, their eyeshadows are hit and miss but I love their pencils, High Impact mascara (not the extra volume one), almost lipstick, the newer pop lipsticks and blushes, the Almost Powder and Sabrina K. loves their new stick foundation A LOT! She bought two ;)
I think you could get a great look with just Clinique!

For me, there are 4 makeup brands whose products have always met or exceeded my expectations.

1. Viseart. Viseart is most well known for their eye shadows, but they make fantastic blushes, concealers, neutralizers, lip products and their HD Cream foundations are top notch.

I've seen people complain about the price of the Viseart palettes, and I can understand why; however, you get 12 shadows in the palette, and that works out to about $6.80 a shade which is hardly unreasonable. If you don't want to shell out $80, I'd recommend trying one of the Viseart Theory palettes for $45. They are great little palettes wherein you can get the feel for the shadow before you take a larger plunge. There are plenty of 'nice' shadows on the market, but in my opinion, Viseart shadows are simply the best, period.

2. Kevyn Aucoin: I don't particularly care for some of the prices of his products (thank goodness for the pro discount), but there aren't any duds in this line ( IMO). Of course we all love his sculpting powder, but his shadows, lipsticks, the diaphanous powders, the Sensual Skin Enhancer, his brow pencils and brushes are all fantastic. If I could only have one lipstick for the rest of my life it would be his Bloodroses.

3. Make Up For Ever: Love my MUFE HD and F&B foundation. I have never come across a MUFE product that didn't meet or beat my expectations. Love their lipsticks, primers, and liners. I also love their Sens eyes makeup remover and the Mist + Fix.

4. Ben Nye: Pro grade products at almost drugstore prices. We all know about the Banana powder, but there is so much more to this line that no one really talks about. Ben Nye makes awesome neutralizers, concealers, lip liners, foundations, lipsticks and glosses ( Ben Nye makes the prettiest Gold lip gloss ever). I also love their cake eye liner and MediaPro powders(Yes, Ben Nye makes a plethora of gorgeous powders besides Banana.) ;) Most of the looks we try to re-create these days came from Ben Nye and the Westmore family. His son Dana runs the company now, and he stays true to his father's formulas. You won't see a reformulation every 2 years with Ben Nye products, and I love that. A great product is a great product... why mess with it  ;)

I have a lot, but my top three are Too Faced, Tarte & Maybelline. Too Faced has amazing quality products, like their eyeshadow palettes are SO amazingly pigmented & their mascaras ❤️ #love. The Tarte Amazonian blushes are to die for. & Maybelline mascaras are awesome.. and affordable too. Packing is also super cute.

Breeze, thank you! Clinique was one of my first few brands I put on my list (:

Thank you so much, Jacqueline! I'll have to look into Ben Nye and more into Viseart (:

Thanks, Irina (:

My favourite brand at the minute is probably Sleek. I seem to have collected to many of their products over the last few months! I'm not big on wearing foundation, but their powders are definitely worth a try.
also, the I divine eyeshadow palettes have amazing colour pay off for the money. in the UK, they're?8 for 12 colours, & there are a huge range of palettes to choose from
They also have eye/lip liners that have a great pay off. even though you can use them for both, I think more of the colours are geared towards lip liners, unless you fancy doing a really bold summer eye look.
I also quite like their blushes. I find that they give quite a good colour payoff with only a swipe. I don't wear blush that often as I'm quite red on my cheeks, but they have a range of mattes, shimmers & creams. they also have them in palettes, so you can get a few colours in one go.
my absolute favourite product is their matte me liquid lipsticks. most of them have doe foot applicators, & are opaque with one swipe. they don't dry stocky, and last the whole day, even if you've been eating or drinking!
they also have highlight/contour/both in one palettes. I have a highlight one, & it's switched really well. personally I don't do highlight or contour that much, but I bought them so I could have the option to!!
sorry I can't give swatches of the products at the moment. I'm currently on holidays :)

Thank you, Hannah! (:

I think Chantecaille makes beautiful products. I love their Future Skin Gel foundation and I have several of their blushes - creams and powders. The lipsticks are gorgeous! A real luxury brand, I'd say.
