I looove Fall makeup and I'm excited to start using darker shades. How can I start the transition now? I don't want to look silly, using too heavy of makeup when it's still upper 90's.

I'd start using darker lip shades since that's already a trend! Then slowly progress back into eyeliner and eyeshadow. Start subtle and build until fall hits and you can go all out 😊

In fall I transition by using
my warmer colors and darker lips. I don't quite go vamp yet, but I'll wear makeup monsters cornucopia instead of colourpop Pacific for example. I'll do a dark smokey eye with a light lip more often. I use black eyeliner a lot more than white or nude like I do in the warmer months. Usually I'll start in semptember and by time I get comfortable in that routine it's October and I can start getting vampy for Halloween. most of this is pretty subconcious when I do it so this was an interesting question for me. lol

I base my makeup on what I'm wearing so as the weather cools and I start pulling out fall clothes, I'll be pulling out my dark lips as well

I usually start by using lighter color shadow or liner, and then as time goes on gradually grow darker. So maybe a light purple, and then a week later a slight darker shade? Just a suggestion. And a lot of the girls are suggesting dark lipstick: you definitely don't want to go too dark, because that will look strange in 90 degree weather. Cherry red is great for summer, and for transitioning into fall, maybe go with a mauve color? That might work. :)

I would also start with red lippy then gradually (almost unnoticeably) use darker and darker lipstick then you can go all out when fall comes😊
