For my birthday, my mom got me the Mia 1 Clarisonic and I and super excited!
I really want to make the best use of it so I have a few questions.
1- How often should I use it? I have the sensitive skin brush on it. Can I use it everyday?
2- I eared I could experience a purging phase. what is that about? how long could it be?
3- I will use a Biotherm foaming cleanser with it, is here any product I should avoid?

Happy birthday! I adore my Clarisonic, it's awesome.
1, I personally use mine every night. My skin isn't sensitive, but it is very dry and using it more than that (like twice a day) was just too much. Using it every night works for me, doesn't dry my skin and leaves my face feeling super clean.
2, you could, some people do. I personally didn't. It varies a lot from person to person, but basically the idea of purging is that you're introducing a new product into your routine that may bring impurities to the surface and cause breakouts for a bit until your skin gets used to it.
3, I don't recommend using any kind of scrub with it, for several reasons. It's an exfoliator all on its own, so anything else is unnecessary, but also the grains and stuff from scrubs get stuck inside of it and are really not all that effective. gentle, foaming or milky cleansers work best.

Happy birthday! What an awesome present, the Clarisonic is the best investment I made for my skin so I hope you love it!
1) I started using mine twice a day, morning and night, and then cut down to once at night when my skin adjusted to it. I definitely suggest using it everyday to get a consistent cleanse.
2) Purging is pretty common because the Clarisonic is giving your skin such a deep clean that it's pulling up more impurities than normal. Just stick with it and it'll pass.
3) Anything with beads/grains/particles shouldn't be used.

Happy birthday! I have not used clarisonic but I hope it works for you! I bought a different brand face brush for $100 but it hurt to use it especially on my cheeks even when I put no pressure at all. (I have very sensitive and dry skin) I ordered a natural sponge face cleanser and I used it today for the first time with Paula's choice cleanser and I love the sponge so much! It did not hurt my face at all even when I pressed quit a bit to test it out, it feels so nice on my face and it's so easy/fast to clean plus it has a hanging string for air drying and it makes my face so soft, I defiantly love the sponge and hate the brush Which I wish I never bought.
The sponge I bought was from beauty bay for only $6 aud. It's so cheap and works amazing! For those that want a face cleanser try the sponge.

1- YES! I cannot stress that enough. A lot of people who have tried Clarisonic and say "it doesn't work" is usually because they aren't using it consistently. If you aren't using it everyday, then you obviously aren't going to notice results. It is safe for your skin and meant for daily use. However, make sure you are using the right brush head; I'm sure the sensitive will be fine, but I have extremely sensitive skin and use the delicate brush head. You won't hurt your skin, but it can cause some irritation if it is too strong or abrasive for your skin type. One more thing, I only use mine once a day at night (sometimes I do twice a day if I'm having hormonal skin issues). And I remove my makeup before, because I want a really deep cleanse, not just the Mia focusing on trying to remove my makeup.
2- Everyone is different. I personally never experienced purging, but some do.
3- I basically use whatever face soap I am using at the moment. The only product I don't use is exfoliators because I don't see the need of using an exfoliator with my Clarisonic anymore...
As far as anymore tips, just make sure you don't press too hard when you use it! Trust me, you don't need to, it will do all the work for you. That will just cause irritation.
Happy Birthday and I hope you enjoy your gift! I absolutely love mine, I got mine for my birthday four years ago and it completely transformed my skin! I actually ended up buying another one last year, because I was traveling a lot and didn't want to forget it, because I can't live without it! Lol but really in the four years I've had mine, I have only not used it like 2, maybe 3 times ever, because my skin paid for it when I forgot to use it! Definitely worth it in my opinion.

Happy birthday! I just got my clarisonic too a few weeks ago :) I'm really loving it!
I use it everyday in the morning and at night! It's only been 2 weeks so I can't say my skin is transformed yet but twice a day works for me.
A few days after my first use I got a couple bad cystic pimples which last a long time obviously, but a few weeks later I think my purging is over. It doesn't necessarily happen to everyone, everyone's different!
I use mine with the Clinique liquid face soap!
However I do have a question for all the ladies that have had their clarisonic a while:
Do you clean your brush head every use? If so with what? And how often and what do you use for a deep cleanse on your brush head??

Thanks Dana and that's a good question!
