Okay so my hair is really dark brown and it has been for a while. I dye it this color. I naturally have blonde hair and I want to go back to blonde. I plan on going to a salon but was wondering if there is any way I can gradually lighten the dark brown at home without bleach. I'm in no rush I know this will be a long process! can anyone suggest anything?

You should probably just be able to strip the dye out.

Anti dandruff shampoo. It's chemicals removes hair dye. Also it night damage your hair, if you decide to use it, use it only once a week and condition after.

I wouldn't strip your hair that could make it extremely damaged.. just gradually work your way up to the color you want, but don't try to go too light so quick if your hair is so dark... that will end up bad! maybe go for some highlights and keep adding them until you are able to get the full head of blonde... or start at a caramel color and work gradually towards blonde :)

Kay so I've been a hairstylist for 7 years and I would say it's tough bc nothing is going to lighten your hair that much. I think Sally's has a color remover that's might help. But yeah avoid bleach bc it you try to darken the bleach at some point any color is just going to fade back to bleach it sucks. I'd say keep using the color remover and clarifying shampoo but make sure you condition your hair too bc of the chemicals and I mean professional conditioner never drug store hair products. If anyone wants to argue that I will say I've been doing hair for 7 years with hundreds of clients who use drug store products trust me on this. Anyways Sally's should have the color remover, if you don't live near a Sally's Amazon has everything you're sure to find it there.

Charli that's really cool I didn't know about that kind, the salons I've worked at never used color remover for color corrections so color remover is not something I know a lot about finding it. Btw the color that you're going to get isn't going to look that great but I guess keep trying till you get close enough to your natural and then go to the salon to have them put on a base color and do some highlights. I'm sorry but you will eventually need help from a hairstylist to fix this, they know what they're doing and they make you look good so it's worth it
