Ok so ever since I've been doing my makeup I've had trouble with eyeshadow. Everytime I attempt it, it always looks like I haven't slept in days or I got like a black eye. This happens when I use warmer colors like light browns and gold-ish colors and I know these shades are probably more complicated it work with, but are there any tips to create a simple eye shadow look with nudes or warmer colors? (I have blue eyes if that depends on the shades I should use)

Most importantly, make sure to use a transition color!! For example I use the Anastasia Modern Ren palette and I ALWAYS start with a more brown nude to contour my eyes and define my crease, then with a fluffy brush I'll begin to blend in the more orangey shades and leave the darker colors for the outter V of your eye that way the colors won't all blend into one shade they will have more of an ombré effect! :)

Prime it then put on a light concealer. Then apply the transition color and darken it up if it needs it.

Briana and Tia have the truth of it. Do your eyes "sweat"? I have "runny" eyes and hooded, so I make sure to start with a dry, previously powdered palette. That way, it's going to be easier to blend and my shadows stay longer in place.

I didn't mean palette, I meant canvas 😝

Omg Eileen I had the same problem some while ago...Honestly grab some tape and blend! :D It totally worked for me, I'm fine with base and everything else but when it comes to eye make up? aaagh! terrible. And you know what? I actually 'practiced' with nudes, and browns.
Basically all neutral shades...so hope the tape trick will help. Eyeshadow looks soo good when the edges are blended out in a perfect angle according to your eye shape...that's what works for me but I hope it will work for you too? And shades?? Go CRAZY with trying out different ones to work together ;)...maybe not tooo crazy but you get the idea :)

And apply your foundation (base) after applying your eye make up? Use concealer over whole eye area?
