Hey everyone! it's has been a very long since I've been on here. but I have a hair color question.
I have dark brown hair, almost black. I want to dye my hair a deep auburn but when I use box colors I can barely see any of the color. I don't want to bleach my hair... what would be the best way to dye it so that it is actually auburn and not just lightly highlighted? please advise thank you!

The only way you are going to see any other color in your hair is to lift it a few levels. since color won't lift color, bleach is the only option. you can also use a color remover but in all honesty it is very close to bleach. going to a salon would be your best option since you have been using box color. they will be able to better control the beach and you will have minimal damage. bleach really is not that scary when used by a professional!
