I've a really bad acne scaring and most of them are only on my right side. I was using neutrogena and now I'm using bioderma (green)
I feel like I always need to put make up on to hide them a bit
What should I do? Any tips?

Are they dark spots/hyper pigmentation or indented scars?

You need to identify what kind of "scarring" you're referring to. Red/dark marks are not scar tissue and can be dealt with gradually with the use of proper skincare. Physical indentations/pock marks must be treated by a dermatologist with procedures like laser treatments/fillers.

That said, are you still currently experiencing breakouts on a regular basis?

You don’t have to worry getting rid of acne is easier than you think.Use Aloe vera it not only helps in reducing pimples but it also helps in keeping your skin cool.I am doing an esthetics diploma http://www.cestarcollege.com/courses/beauty/esthetics-diploma/ in cestar college and we have tried out this method in our practical sessions and it works.Aloe Vera also helps in reducing the inflammation and the redness of the pimples and also helps keep the skin oil free.

I don't understand the influx of people posting links whenever they ask or answer a question. Am I the only one noticing and thinking its a little weird?

Anyways, make sure you're exfoliating and wearing SPF. If you don't wear SPF everyday then it really doesn't matter what treatments you're doing because of the SPF protects the spots from getting darker. I use the Boscia Exfoliating Peel Gel to exfoliate and my daytime moisturizer has SPF in it. I've also been using the Ole Henrikson Truth Serum and that's been doing wonders for my dark spots but any vitamin C serum or products will help as well.

No worries; we all have our own schedules to work with.

The good thing about basic acne treatment is that when done well it also helps to address red/dark marks that form after spots have gone. Unless you're allergic to aspirin, you should definitely look into a salicylic acid product. Most of these on the market are absolute garbage; the best formulas for the price are from Paula's Choice, and she has a variety of formulations for different skin types.

Salicylic acid (or BHA) helps to kill acne bacteria, exfoliate skin, and reduce inflammation when in a well-formulated product. A good BHA product is something that you should be able to leave on so that you can actually give it time to work.

You should also look into a broad spectrum sunscreen that is appropriate for your skin type. Sun damage makes your skin more prone to acne, and can make the post acne marks darker by triggering melanin production. Sunscreens are getting better with consistent broad spectrum protection. If you are sensitive, look for mineral actives such as Zinc Oxide or Titanium Dioxide. If you are used to chemical sunscreens, make sure it has something like Avobenzone or Mexoryl.

A tertiary product would be something like benzoyl peroxide at a 2.5 or 5% concentration. You don't even need to leave a product like this on overnight if you are sensitive; I have great results just by leaving it on my face for a half hour then rinsing off and going forward with the rest of my routine.
