My hair right now isn't a beautiful blonde at all and I would like to give it a nice new touch however I've never dyed them myself and I have no idea which brands with which colors would be good for me. Thank you in advance x

Unfortunately on the photo you barely see the yellow undertone it partely has.

I already tried a purple shampoo but it barely helped me.

The brand and how long you left the purple shampoo really does make a difference.

most are blue violet and work well for yellow toned hair whereas a silver or blue shampoo is darker in color and more blue so it's better for more caramel tones.
I prefer silver shampoo but if my hair is too yellow it'll turn ash but I don't have to leave it on nearly as long.

an ash hair dye is either blue violet undertone or an actual ash (green) undertone to be used on like strawberry blondes and such.

if you're set on dying your hair I quite like the Matrix brand of hair color but I think it's a pro product. not 100% sure.
I'd stick to a neutral or cool toned blonde since I find they look better against the darker hair.
you'll still need to upkeep though
