It smells weird??

I picked up the elf daily brush cleanser today and whenever I opened it, it smelled really bad! Will it make my brushes stink? Is it supposed to smell this way? Help!

I peeked at the reviews and lots of users are reporting an awful smell.
It is literally a bottle of alcohol and perfume... might want to just put some alcohol in a spray bottle to save some $$$ and bad smell.

I have yet to come across an alcohol-based spot cleaner that smelled nice. Even the Cinema Secrets smells overwhelmingly of vanilla, which for somebody who's used to fragrance free skincare is just way too much, so I just settle and wash my brushes more often. :/

I dilute rubbing alcohol with filtered water and put it in a dollar store spray bottle to zap the bacteria from my brushes between washes too. Same thing and much cheaper:) I keep it right next to my menagerie of ridiculous brush cups lol!
