Colored concealers are used to color correct. They go under your foundation or concealer. They are color which counteract the color you are trying to "erase".
For instance, lavender counteracts yellow tones. Yellow counteracts purple or darker skinned toned shadows on tanned skin. Orange/peach is great for under eyes so purple/blue colors. Green is to counteract redness.
You don't have to use these if your foundation or concealer covers it all.
I personally use orange and yellow for my under eyes for example because I have dark circles :) Hope this helped :)

Also forgot to mention, your color corrector has to be suited to your skin tone. Taking back the same example of my dark circles, I have to use a darker orange than you would because my skin is darker than yours and that's the same with pretty much every other color.

Another thing you could to is mix them with your existing concealers to help neutralize or add that extra undertone
For example, if you have a concealer that's too yellow when you have a neutral undertone you can mix a little bit of purple to help make it neutral.
If the concealer is too pink, add green, etc.
You can also mix it with your concealer for a more subtle highlight.
A lot of people use a concealer that's 2 shades lighter under the eyes and it can look too harsh for everyday.
Let's say you're... Pink toned am you have a concealer that matches your skin, add a little green and it'll help brighten the shade a tiny bit and make it a nice subtle highlight that prevents you from look all one color but isn't too dramatic.
You could even use a tiny bit on your lips as a base to help alter the shade of a lipstick or gloss if you find them too blue toned etc.they can be used in a lot of ways
