I'm a medium skintone as well and I find medium skintones can pull off quite a lot of shades relatively easily since we're in the middle of the spectrum.
But, you should consider your undertone as that can play a role as well as preference.

But you could definitely wear more blue based lipsticks like MACs Ruby Woo, MAC Red, Pink Nouveau, Show Orchid (similar to Girl About Town but more pink and more blue based with shimmer although GAT works on a lot of skintones), Heroine, Candy Yum Yum, Lavender Jade, Viva Glam II, etc.etc

I'm sure all those shades would work well.
If you're looking for more warm toned colors shades like I quite like shades like Lady Danger, Morange, Impassioned, Kinda Sexy and Sushi Kiss

There different ways to test that out although they're not always 100% accurate for everyone.

If you look at your wrists and your veins are more blue or purple then you have more pink undertones or "cool" undertones.

If you have about equal parts green and blue then you're most likely neutral.

If your veins are mostly green then you have more yellow undertones, commonly referred to as a "warm" undertone.

Keeping in mind that not everyone's undertone is the same from their hands and face. I've come across people with blue veins on their wrists an their hands and such were pink toned yet their faces and neck were more peach/warm toned.

When it comes from an art perspective. Red (including pink), orange and yellow are all warm toned colors whereas blue, green and purple are considered true cool toned colors.

With that in mind, I personally group "yellow undertones" in three categories.

1. True yellow undertone.

2. A warm yellow undertone. Basically a peach or honey colored undertone and quite common. Yellow with a little bit of pink and looks more golden rather than straight up yellow although mistaken for true yellow a lot.

3. A Cool yellow undertone which is yellow with a bit of green/olive.

Although these aren't super important to know unless you're looking for foundation. Yellow and warm yellow undertones tend to be able to pull off more of the same colors and shades
