I've been doing my own hair for years and I'm looking to strip some recent dye from my ends without completely refrying it.
A friend recommended using coke, she said it removes dye... But I'm not so sure

I haven't tried Coke but it's harsh enough to remove car paint so maybe? If it's fresh color Prell should work... Now I don't know if they still sell that it might have a different name or you can try to soap cap the ends with some hair bleach but it will dry it up.. I know they sell color removers at Sally's and other beauty supply stores but do a test strand first on all methods I advised and the color removers work best on freshly colored hair unless your hair is very porous it may work

Not sure about dye...but I used coke a few times in my hair, as well as tide detergent to strip build up off of my hair when I was younger. (Very harsh well water, the build up was bad)...my moms hair dresser suggested it to me, worked very well for stripping buildup.
