Colder water the better. Color safe shampoos. The more damaged your hair is the more it'll lose color. Try conditioning treatments as well :)

I've learned that all dark dyes (black, brown, etc.) tend to sty longer than other colors. Like Jessika said, wash with cold/cool water. If your dying your tips a different color, do the brown first, rinse the brown out, then color the tip.

Don't wash everyday. And like the other girls said: cold water and special shampoos and make sure it doesn't have sulfate in it. It may say color safe but it strips

Use products that do not have Sulfate's and parbens. Like Sojourn products it's 100 percent free. At salons or their website :)

I heard not to use conditioner
