Hey guys I'm a 15yr old girl and I have blonde hair but the hair on my upper lip is darker and longer and it is noticeable. What should I do?!

Wax it or pluck it.

Will it grow back darker/ thicker?

It's a myth that hair grows back thicker and/or darker. I use an eyebrow razor to shave the hair on my upper lip.

Okay thanks

I use cold wax stripes from Veet. It is a very easy and fast way to remove facial hair :) it won't grow thicker nor darker. I've even noticed that after years of waxing, the hair has grown a little but thinner

And I agree with the best strips or you can go to a salon.

Sorry to disagree with you, Yaya, but I can say from experience that shaving does not cause hair to grow back thicker or darker. I've been shaving my upper lip for a few years now and the hair looks exactly the same as before I started shaving it. As I said, it's a myth (:

True story, my dermatologist confirmed to me that shaving will not affect the way your hair grows. He actually told me that shaving is best as waxing or plucking can sometimes lead to hyper pigmentation.

Hey I would get ipl or e light depending on how bad it is, I'm 15 and I got that and thats the best thing that has ever happened to me, I wouldn't shave that often or pluck because my beautician says that that causes it to grow thicker/darker :)

And it definitely went darker and thicker for me :)

I get my 'stach threaded. it can be painful but a lot more gentle on the skin then waxing.

Wax or thread it

I've actually bleached mine with good results, but now I just leave it because I asked my friends and no one noticed it but me. I'm sure it's less noticeable than you think, as we all tend to be our own harshest judge.

Just do what's easiest for you, honestly its all the same crap lmao. Shaving might be better if your skin is sensitive or youre too lazy to wax it all the time.

I always get mine threaded off it hurts like crazy but it actually grows back thinner

I use a depilatory. Its a cream that will dissolve the hair below the skin surface. So you will minimize the look of a dark shadow left showing on certain women if shaved. Make sure you do a patch test and follow directions carefully. If you leave it on longer then the recommended time, it will burn your skin and you will be sorry. If you feel it didn't take it all off, you can do it again in 24hrs or as directed. You can find it any drugstore. Make sure you get the DEPILATORY and not BLEACH. Bleach does not remove the hair. I like the Sally Hansen brand.
