My brushes have gotten a little rough, so I need a remedy to make them softer like they were before.

You could try using a moisterizing hair conditioner or hair mask on them after washing them.

The website http://www.mymakeupbrushset.com/collections/brush-set Is having a major sale right now and I have always loved how soft their brushes are!

When I wash my brushes, I use 1 part dish soap to 1 part olive or coconut oil. If you have natural hair brushes, try using conditioner on them. If you want to buy brushes that are softer, try ecoTools.
