So lately when I do my foundation everything is fine until I've set my face, as soon as I start sweating (AT ALL) even the tiniest bit around my mouth area and forehead it starts seperating and comes off SO bad, like its throwing me off even doing my makeup at all and it's super frustrating to sit there for an hour getting it the way I like it for it to look like a mess 20 minutes later. Do you ladies have any suggestions on how I can fix or prevent this happening? I've already checked that I'm not using water based products with silicone products so it isn't that, I'm just confused because I haven't changed anything in my routine and this hasn't ever happened before. 😭

What foundation and powder are you using? And is your skin dry?

I've recently been using the rimmel match perfection and my normal Australis pressed powder that I've used for years, the foundation is nice but I don't know whether if that's what's not working for me, my skin only gets dry around my nose area._. Haha! I'd say it's more on the normal side but I just got a new bottle of true match so I'm going to try that tomorrow and hope it doesn't happen haha :(

I was having problems with my foundations separating and I tried to add a drop of facial oil and it made a huge difference! My skin is normal to dry! I also cut waaaay down on the setting powder! I still use it but a lot less!

Maybe you should try buffing the setting powder into your skin and not using so much powder like Sabrina said. And the drop of oil mixed with your foundation really does work! Wayne Goss has a video about it.

Also make sure your primer and foundation have the same base. For example, if your primer is oil based and your foundation is water based, it's bound to separate. Oil and water are not good together :)
