How do you keep your makeup "falling" off throughout the day?

Without reapplying it? My makeup looks nice in the morning, but by after lunch it seems to have completely smeared off. Any tips? Should I get a translucent powder?

Try using a primer.

Which one do you recommend? Each one I've tried just hasn't been my cup of tea

Try smash box primer and then set your makeup with Urban Decay setting spray!! My makeup use to get so oily and fall off up until I started using those two products together!! Hope this helps!

I use the rimmel fix and perfect (blue bottle) with the elf setting spray or NYX matte spray. You can also try applying a seething powder to your oily areas or tzone. (:

I'd just get a good setting powder. I think rice powder and kaolin work AMAZING
If you're more on the dry side then go for a talc based powder and just use a powder puff, do the press and roll method and brush off any excess with a powder brush.

Primers and setting sprays aren't really my cup of tea either.
I find that primers end up making my face feel more oily/heavy and don't really make the foundation last aside from 1 or two primers but most... Not so great.

As far as setting spray they only work okay but you could give them a try:

My right eye makeup always smears in the outer corners and on around to the lid area. This is with eye primer. I even dab a little primer in the outer corners which does help minimize it but doesn't completely stop it. I wear contacts and I already use water proof mascara because of my one watery eye. it's not a lot it just slowly leaks out at times throughout the day and is just enough to smear my makeup. I even keep a kleenex to dab the corners when it occurs trying to save my eye makeup but not always successful. of corse you use Foundation, translucent powder , Any suggestions?

I would use both a primer and setting spray. Or you can try a setting powder, I personally don't like powders because it tends to make my face feel "dirty" even though I wear a small amount of makeup. It really depends on your skin type. You can never go wrong with Urban Decay, NYX, Elf, or Maybelline.

What about primers for acneic skin? My makeup does the same but I break out.

What I would recommend is a moisturiser. Make sure that it is a non-shiny one as that could make your makeup look oily and no girl wants that!
Then primer- I only own two kinds of primer. I own the baby skin- my everyday primer. Mattifying and amazing, fantastic and it blurs your pores. I also have a Mac one. I have no idea what kind it is but it is quite good.
Then makeup is

Then makeup, make sure it is in date which means it is not more than about 7-8 months old.
Then a setting spray so Macs Fix + or urban decay.
Hope this helps!
