Does gel/shellac nail polish make nails stronger???

I have worn acrylic nails for quite some time now and have had some problems with my real nail lifting from the acrylic nail....someone told me that just doing the gel/shellac nail polish that lasts like 2 weeks will actually strengthen your nails....does anyone else agree???

Shellac is awesome!! I'm a nail tech and love shellac. CND is coming out very soon with a new product that enhances Shellac. Making your nails stronger. Especially in your case if they are weak from the acrylic. It will last 2 weeks and sometimes even longer as long as you treat your nails like jewels and not tools.
