I agree with Hailey. A vitamin c serum will help lots. But make sure you up your sunscreen because it can make your skin react to the sun easier. I'd also avoid any of the home remedies. They may not seem damaging but especially vinegar, lemon anything acidic or citrus can be extremely damaging. It's not worth the risk especially since they can make the areas on the skin darker with very little exposure to the sun.

Do you have hair on your upper lip and around your mouth? I noticed when I started getting my lip wave around my mouth didn't look so dark anymore. Skin care wise I recommend you keep exfoliating to remove the dead skin cells and eventually the hyper pigmentation will decrease. Makeup wise you can use an orange color correcting concealer on your dark spots before you put on your foundation.

I used to have uneven skin tone but what I do now is I added the tea tree toner to my routine and my skin is even.
