I wear contacts too and I noticed I had this problem when using certain eye shadows or liners. Especially on my waterline or when I tight line. I just stopped using those eye products and continue to use what doesn't give me an issue.

Try using a fixing spray like Fix+ or rosewater and spray over the eyes a little so that powders don't really fall into the eyes.
Also, I make sure to carry around eye drops specifically for contact lenses that refresh the lenses and can help get the shadow off the contacts

Hi ☺️ I've worn prescription contact lenses all my life and never had any issues with make-up transfer onto them. I could apply my eye make-up whilst wearing my lenses. But over this last year, I've noticed that after a few hours of wear, my vision goes blurry due to make-up transfer onto my lenses. By midday, I can't wait to take my lenses out. I do the same make-up application routine that I've done all my life. Just made changes to the brand of eyeshadow that I wear and I switched from pencil to a gel eyeliner. Mascara brand remains the same. I've tried doing all my make-up first and putting on my lenses much later, just before leaving the house. Still get the transfer.
Any suggestions? Is it just a coincidence this has happened since I've changed eyeshadow brands?

Thanks for responding :)
Grace T - I'm waiting for new eyeshadows and pencil eyeliners to arrive from different brands. Will compare and see. I just didn't expect my current gel liner to transfer. And will feel a tad sad if I have to gift away all my current eyeshadows if they continue to misbehave. But I guess trying out new brands is a good thing :)
Aurora - I started using Fix+ for a month now but perhaps I'm spraying from too far away and not enough onto the eyes. Do you spray before or after putting on mascara?

I have that problem with certain eye liners as well. Just trial and error to find out which is best! Do you use an eyeshadow primer at all? I find that helps a lot!

Hi Beth - yes, I use eyeshadow primer :) Like the eyeshadows + eyeliner, think I'll change the brand and see if that makes a difference.
