I've seen a lot of beauty gurus on youtube make videos about why they shave their face. they shave it with a slanted blade used for cleaning up around eyebrows opposed to a conventional razor (I agree). I'm looking into it. has anyone tried it? worth it? does it make your hair grow back darker or thicker? did it change anything dramatically? thanks so much:)

It's been around for ages nothing new. Your hair won't grow back darker. :)

I shave my face, nothing changed, just that the makeup looks 100% better than before :)

I prefer getting my facial hair professional done with sugar treatments - I don't know the thought of a razor to my face scar me haha I just know I'm the type that would cut myself haha!

When my sister used to do it she was left with lots of black dots of roots near the surface of her skin. she did her brows only.

It all depends on how consistent you are and how dark your hair is naturally. I know I'm not very consistent so I wouldn't do it. A wax lasts way longer, whatever you say. Obviously it will not grow thicker but it will grow back very soon after you shave it. I just don't have the patience to deal with this stuff haha!
I'd rather keep my lil mustache or wax it...
I'm sure it would be a good choice for someone who cannot stand pain at all though!

I have very fine hairs on my face, and I shave them.
I don't think anyone with thick hair would benefit from shaving their hair off in this fashion. When you shave, you cut the hair from the base which is the thickest part (aka. the black dots people report seeing ) and of course as it grows out it tapers.
When you wax you pull it from the root so when the hair grows back you see that tapered tip as opposed to the thick base.
I personally don't see the point in waxing, I can't tell when it's growing back so no need for the unnecessary pain and it really takes me 1 or 2 seconds to shave anyways.
It does help make up application a little bit as you don't have fuzziness either.
You just really have to focus whether it would benefit you or not.
