It's probably just because you shaved, if you did. I don't think it's anything to worry about, it happens to me when I wear tight clothes after shaving.

Do you exfoliate regularly? My legs will do that when I haven't exfoliated in awhile.

It looks like Keratosis Pilaris, which is a skin condition that really isn't serious in nature.
It's caused by excess production of keratin on the skin, which in turn block the hair follicles and cause those little bumps you have.
You can help with their appearance by using a body BHA exfoliant to help keep them as unclogged as possible. Physical exfoliants will not treat KP as it needs to be in the pore not the outer surface... do not pop them as they are neither white or black heads either. The chemical exfoliant will help break down the bumps and excess keratin.

That looks pretty normal to me, my upper leg looks like that unless I exfoliate and moisturize. :)

I agree with kitty. It's also a lot of the time genetic so one of your parents likely have it as well. Definitely looks like kp. I use a chemical exfoliating cleanser in the shower and a very light moisturizer in the areas I get it.

Thank you so much!!
Which exfoliating you use?
Does that KP shit go away?:?

I didn't know that was KP! Thanks for the info. Now that I think about it, I wear tight clothes in the winter and that's when I skimp on exfoliating ;) makes total sense!

I have that on my upper arms! Glad I saw this because I never knew what it was. Some days would be worse but I noticed it would be those days if I wouldn't be able to shower and the next day more appear. Then when I do shower and use my scrub then it calms down.

@Sarah, I've read a couple of times now that if spots appear on your upper arm, it can be a sign of a gluten intolerance. I can't guarantee at all that this is actually true, but just wanted to let you know anyway. :)

I use the avene akerat smoothing cream. It's also got urea in it which is the only moisturizing property that doesn't clog my kp more.
