No matter how much I blend in my concealer it doesn't fully cover my acne blemish/scars and it always ends up looking caked on even when I haven't used that much. Has anyone got any good concealer recommendations for covering acne blemishes and scars and also tips on how to get a natural effect.

Are you using a color corrector under the concealer?

I have scars on my face , I once had an accident on a bike and it gave me scars, I don't use concealer because it doesn't work for the scars but I do suggest a tinted moisturiser, they're great. If you want to stay with concealer, I suggest using a colour corrector (::

I have the same problem and I find it all really depends on whether the scar is still red looking or more a faded purple. I find concealer just doesn't work for me either, I only ever use concealer on really red areas of my face, when I do use concealer I use Fit me concealer or a concealer stick (unbranded)
But everyday I use Covergirl true blend foundation, it's a really light foundation and doesn't go cakey but still gives enough coverage paired with a mineral powder and a finishing veil- also I use a Revlon Foundation brush to apply my foundation which helps it go in smoothly and not cakey.
I use Models Prefer Mineral Foundation and Models Prefer Mineral Finishing Veil. I find these work really well, especially the finishing veil, it really brightens up your skin giving a light highlighted effect and hides any redness.
I finish my makeup off with a Models Prefer Finishing Spray, this helps smooth out any cakey areas, another finishing spray that works great is NYX Dewy Finishing Spray. Another tip to make your makeup look more natural is to use the finishing spray in between foundation and powder, this makes it less cakey.
If you want your eyes to look natural I recommend using brown mascara and lining your upper lash line with a black waterproof eye liner, this really makes your eyes pop without it looking like your are actually wearing eye liner, it almost extends your eye lashes really:)

Cover Fx line was developed by dermatologists at Sunnybrook Hospital Toronto Canada for patients to give the look of beautiful, healthy skin, and now, it's a mainstream brand. It comes in every colour and constancy, and it's not too ridiculously priced. The drops and pencil are two of my favourite products, and I have ice pic scars, and a chicken pox scar. I think beautylish sells coverfx...
