Well lately I've been mixing my NARS sheer glow and my Mac minerlize because my skin is dry and it seems to looks good and my forehead isn't flakey but I see that a few hours later my makeup doesn't look how it did as when I first did and I had that issue before without even mixing them a lot of people say setting spray I've used the UB hydrating setting spray but I don't see any difference to be honest so two things do you ladies mix foundations? & what would be good to set it and powder setting isn't a good idea for dry skin.

I have dry skin and I also mix foundations. my favorite foundation to mix into another foundation is the maybeline fit me dewy and smooth. That foundation is EXTREMELY dewy, even with my dry skin if a wear alone after a few hours I look oily. As far as setting I don't use powder I use mac fix plus. I know it's not technically a setting spray but it works for me. It just makes everything look blended and look like skin. I don't have a problem with my makeup fading which is why I don't "set" my makeup

But does it still look good after hours after the makeup Maria?

I mix. Sometimes I mix and sometimes I don't. I have 3 foundations, Cover fx drops and a primer oil. I'll mix any combination of these products depending on my mood or skin needs.

I personally like a dewy finish, so the longer I wear my foundation the more I like it. I mix the maybeline fit me into foundations that have more coverage but are to matte for my skin they're also foundations that are long wearing. I basically add the maybeline to make them dewy so they work for my skin. I can honestly get 10 hour wear with out touching up, but like I said I like the dewy look so I actually like the way my foundation looks at the end of the day

I usually just use the Primer oil as a primer, but when my skin gets super dry, I'll add the oil to my foundation also. I still have dry skin, but I've got my surface dehydration under control so I haven't been adding the oil lately.

Make sure the foundations are similar.Don't mix a matte foundation with a dewy foundation...sometimes dry skin doesn't need to be set but I recommend a loose powder if you are going to set it as they tend to be easier to be light-handed with.

The reason you shouldn't mix completely different foundations is because if they separate like you said it will look odd.

You're probably having issues with this if the foundations you're mixing are water and silicone. Water-based foundation does not like to mix with silicone-based. This is also why certain primers don't play well with certain foundations.
