This last time ended in disaster though. I did the above and my ends were GREY and my roots were orange. I applied an ultra light neutral blonde a few days after and it helped slightly. My ends are still very light and slightly grey. My roots are darker than the rest of my hair and slightly orange, from doing an all over color when I shouldn't have. There is an obvious difference and it is really wearing on me.
So my question is, what can I put on my hair to make the color even, WITHOUT A SALON, and have an all over 7-8 level neutral or ashy blonde? Protein filler and re-dye? Use a color remover and then re-dye? I cannot afford a salon right now so an at home fix is easiest. My hair is still very soft and manageable, although it is obviously highly porous. I have been deep conditioning and I won't re-dye until the weekend so my hair can recover. I attached a picture to show the uneveness.
My ultimate goal hair color would be this: https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/564x/06/7f/fd/067ffd0211dc404fd8a9a1fdaef6e7ad.jpg

If I apply the dark blonde, the protein filler will help the dye take evenly correct? I just want to make sure the darker blonde ends up the same color as the lighter blonde in the end of the process.
