Paint your nails with nail polish remover. Trust me, it'll work. It's such a horrible taste. My mom used to do that to me when i was younger. Now i never chew on them. Plus, chewing your nails are really unhealthy. Underneath your nails lie bacteria and germs. So you chewing them releases those germs into your mouth.

I've been biting my nails since I can remember and I stopped biting 5 weeks ago, whenever I am about to bite them I cross my fingers, and I always make sure I have nail polish on so I won't be so urged to bite..hope this helps(: you can do it!

I have done this off and on way too long...fake nails are about the only fix imho....I would chew my nails through any bitter substance out there....oncr I grew them out for the first time.. (I was 30!)...I realized I have beautiful nails....but I only leave them alone if I get a manicure each week or spend time (not tons of it) every night to make them look nice. Granted I am back to wearing artificial nails now....bleh...but that is better than chewing them off til they hurt. :( That sucks...and hurts...Good luck!
