I have heard good things about seche vite. Do you think I should buy it? Is there another topcoat you like better?

I have it and I was really disappointed. Every time I try to use it, it peels off in big flakes by the next day. This happens no matter how delicate I am with my fingers. :(

It got really gross in the bottle to the point where I couldn't use it. I like Essie No Chips Ahead and OPI Top Coat.

Seiche vite is a great top coat. It is a bit on the thicker side but has great shine and dries quickly. Just make sure you prep your nail with either alcohol or acetone before applying polish, it will halo it last longer.

Its okay. But you can get a topcoat for $3 better than that. I got it like 5 months ago and its really sticky and thick and gloopy. It does dry really fast though(:

mine works well to speed up drying time.. maybe paint over it with another top coat if you still want the quick dry benefits but no chipping... thats what i do.

I am giving it another shot; I applied while my polish was still tacky so maybe it will bond a little better. I work tomorrow (in a coffeeshop) so it will be put to the test. Our soap eats nail polish right off.

I don't know why everyone says seche vite chips off I get at least 5 days of super lustrous wear out of it before my nail polish starts to chip.

Best top coat I've ever had. I don't understand why so many people have a chipping problem. My nail last up to a week with this stuff. It's great!

Doesn't matter what top coat I use, or nail polish/lacquer I use. My nails chip and peel within 1-2 days. I'm convinced its because the companies took all the chemicals out that made it adhere to nails. Also all the anti-bacterial soap everyone uses might have an effect on the polish. Back in the "olden" days I could go 7-10 days without chipping or peeling. Most of the time I don't even do my nails. Not worth it!:/

Andrea, try seche vite!!! Also, quickly rubbing your nails w/ nail polish remover RIGHT before you apply a good basecoat helps my nails last way longer.. also buffing lightly once a week to create a smooth surface.

Update: my nails didn't last 24 hours. They started flaking off and peeling this morning while I was getting ready. I was hoping and praying they would last but nope. Seche is a no-go.

Tracey, girl, I have tried it! Haha. I bought the china glaze this time to try. I have kids, so maybe I wash my hands too much? Don't know! I do like it and the china glaze when I want to paint my nails to go out for a night. I like that they make the polish dry quickly. Works great on my toes though! They never chip! :)

I thought I just had problems with Seche Vite! I thought I got a bad batch lol. But with Seche Vite, my nails will chip in less than 24 hours on a good day...the average it's lasted for me is 12 hours -__-. In it's defense, it shines like No Other!
