Don't worry there's no harm in switching it up between the 2 depending on how skilled the brow waxer/threader is. To be honest so you don't waste money jumping around neither one is better than the other (except that wax lifts dead skin from the body so you're smoother) but you don't need that on your eyelids. Regardless which you do neither takes longer to grow back that's a myth just yelp the best brow designers in your local area and go for the best

I got my eyebrows waxed every 5 weeks or so for a year. My sister convinced me to try threading and i will NEVER get them threaded again. It was so horribly painful compared to waxing, it was like constant rope(or in this case, thread burn) on my face. Hair was all over my face and my eyebrows were red for 2 days. I will stick to waxing.

Threading is NOT that bad! Just like waxing, it is bearable and becomes more tolerable each time. I could see it being excruciating if your eyebrows are really thick, otherwise, I'm sure you can withstand it. Especially if you wax currently. It is more precise and sharp looking. For me, threading yields longer lasting results and looks much cleaner.

Waxing tugs on the skin & causes premature aging.

I don't like how some of the people who perform the threading use their teeth to hold the thread.

I've had it done and it's an awesome way to do your brows if you want to try something other than waxing. it can be done wrong though, in that case it can hurt. all that is is when the thread is held in the wrong position. if it is done right it's nearly painless and so fast. just have to find a shop that has a good reputation.
