Hello! I have been wanting to try Mac and I was curious if anyone had any tips on what is worth getting. I mainly want to see if their powders/foundation works well since I've yet to find one I enjoy. Thanks for any advice!

I'd go with a better brand than Mac for foundations. They are horribly pore clogging and seem to oxidize fast. I've tried almost all of their foundations and don't like any of them.

I would go with the mineral powder foundation, the concealer and the lipsticks! But like Ave said, the liquid foundations are horrible to the skin!

The lipsticks always seem to be raved about so I'll have to try one. Perhaps a more "everyday colour". Most of what I own is dramatic colours. Thanks again!

My favorite foundation is from mac! And ive tried clinique, lancome, makeup forever, dior, and so many other brands. Its just about finding the right one for your skin type. I have very dry sensitive skin, and i use theyre face and body foundation. Its sheer and so natural looking

They have a powder that had a mix of the foundation and powder in one and it is wonderful with their primer! It's called studio fix and they match your skin perfectly! Mac is the only place I will buy my face make up! There eye shadows are amazing too they last forever and stay on great!!

Everyone says mac foundations can cause brake outs, I use Estée Lauder foundation and adore it!!

The pigments, shadows and lip stuff are amazing, but their foundation, etc. is thick and cakey like stage makeup, and it makes everyone look that way! I recommend using tinted moisturizer, concealer and mineral powder for your face base.

What everyone said, no MAC foundation. Try Giorgio Armani or Chanel. Those are great. For MAC try lipsticks, or blushes.

For foundation is really depends on your skin type ex. Dry skin oily skin and so fourth ... They have really great product for all skins types . I think it would be best if you went to a mac store (freestanding not a counter) and ask the makeup artist there type different foundations on your skin to what best fits you :)

I personally use MAC STUDIO FIX FLIUD for my liquid foundation nw43 and MAC mineralize skinfinish natural in dark and both work great for me and I don't look cake faced granted I don't wear makeup every when I do it looks natural because I don't pack it on like a clown :)

I would say try their lipsticks sooo gorgeous! Also ofcourse their eyeshadows. As for face i would suggest getting their studio fix i lovee using it as a setting powder & also their mineral skin finishes are great! Good luck 💖💖

Hi Chrissy ... I am an mua that started many years ago at Mac.... I suggest going to your local pro store or Mac counter.... Ask an artist there to match your skin up to a few of there foundations.. Then just simply get samples of all of them take them all home and try before u buy...... But don't leave without a new lipgloss... Lol..have fun❤
