The sephora huge palettes are never good quality. Theyre either unpigmented or very chalky. It would be best to invest your money in building your own pallete at mac or inglot if you want a big color selection. Or go with a premade palette like naked from urban decay or anyone from them, toofaced, or lorac

As an artist, I need consistency and very rarely do sets like this offer it. Go with refills and build your own. They will likely be bigger and you will use less making them worth it in the end. Best of all, in the long run your palette will be filled with colors you love instead of feeling like you wasted money by not using all of the colors.

I got the 2011 Blockbuster holiday set from Sephora that came with a ton of shadows, plus liners, mascara, blushes, etc. Its huge but for 50 bucks I think its more than worth it. There might be some shadows that are less pigmented than others but overall the color payoff is pretty good. If there are any chalky shades just use a white base underneath. Plus, you'd be getting the same shadows if you bought a bh palette or coastal scents palette or anything off amazon. The creme liners and blushes in this set are surprisingly great. I'd say go for it- that way you can play and experiment with a lot of different shadows/products before you delve into higher quality shadows, etc.

I have never tried it. But I have a few BH Cosmetics pallets. The 120 color are awesome!! They are always having sales. I think i paid less then $20 for each. So you can get 2 and have 240 colors!! I wouldn't recommend the 88 color pallets - but I LOVE the 120 color

I have a big sephora palette and I like it but the shadows are not that pigmented I think if your gonna spend that much go for urban decay

You should get the urban decay naked palette it's also $50 or the UD vice palette it's only $10 more and there both great quality you definetly get your money's worth

Naked by Urban Decay is definitely worth the money! I just got the basics one yesterday and I already love it! You can go light and pretty or dark and fierce in no time =)

E.L.F had pallets with 144 colors for around $25. You can get the natural colors or even a pallet with wild ones. I can't vouch for sephora because I don't have any of their eyeshadow products but if they're like Ultas, they might be worth it. It's probably hit or miss

if you're going for more expensive, good quality eye shadow I would say naked or naked 2 or even the lorac pro palette. though i dont own any of these i have tried them out at sephora and i really like the quality.
I have a Sephora palette from about a year or so ago and I really like it. the pigmentation was ok in my opinion and I reach for it now and then.
but if you're going for cheaper eye shadows in price but still fairly good quality I would say bh cosmetics. I reach for my 120 palette pretty often. now granted, I don't own very expensive shadows (Mac, UD, too faced, etc ). so keep that in mind.
as for elf palettes, I would say stay away. I bought a few of them and most of the shadows are really chalky. I wasted my money on 3 palettes when I could've
bought 1 really good palette instead
so this is just my opinion :) I hope it helps!

I bought that sephora palette and I'd be lying if I said I've used it twice. I agree with building your own palettes!
