Scrub your lips lightly with a warm wash cloth and olive oil, rinse, then seal in with Vaseline original lip therapy every night until not chapped, then use once a week or as needed, but use the Vaseline every night and throughout the day as necessary.

Use a lip scrub ( you can find a homemade one with sugar online) and then use coconut oil as a chap stick. This does wonders

Carmex is the best. Don't even bother with anything else. I find eos makes it worse

Blistex is super close to Carmex just better smelling and I use Carmex everyday and I put it on whenever the Chapstick comes off so my lips are never chapped and its cheap at like 98 cents its a win win

I have the lip scrub by bliss spa, I do like it but I find still dry after I scrub them. I tried a mixture of Olive oil and honey , then brush off with a toothbrush, tried that also still chapped. I've read where it says lip balms only put a barrier of moisture , and don't heal the chapped lips, so looking for a product that heals thanks for the suggestions !

nivea just came out with lip butters. I just started using it and so far it has worked on my chapped lips. I gave up on chapstick and my Shea butter stick.

Steam your lips, pile on thick layer of your fav lip balm, put plastic wrap over it for 15 minutes. Then remove the warp and apply more of your fav lip treatment

I just got some coconut oil, I tried it on expecting a butter texture and its oily when I put it on my lips it melted, my first time with coconut oil I picked it up after hearing all the buzz.. Maybe I got the wrong kind.. There was unrefined and refined.. I bought the unrefined.. Does anyone know anything about coconut oil? Maybe I mix it with another ingredient ? Shea butter?

You should mix a teaspoon of coconut oil, some Shea butter and some peppermint. Pop it in the microwave for 10 seconds, mix, and put it in the refrigerator till it cools. And voila! Your homemade lip balm!!!

@Melissa. I've only tried the raspberry rose and it smells really good. I heard the nivea one with milk in the name is a bit more moisturizing. One downside is that it makes ur lips a a little pale looking.

Burt's Bees (: I'm not a fan of Carmex because it burns, but it works faster and soothes the chapped lips. And the Burt's bees has tinted ones, those work for me (:

@MELISSA A: yes! Fill a bowl with very hot water so it's steamy, but be very careful to not burn yourself. Skin absorbs & retain moisture the best when the surface is opened up!
