I would stay clear from liquid foundation if your skin is combination and you've got acne bc the liquid will make it messy. I'd go for cream/mousse based and a powder to set

Marykay matte foundation... It's the best! It doesn't make you break out at all.. Just don't use powders or liquid. Those are the worst for acne.. I would know :/

I suffered from imflammatory acne when I was 15-17, and I really liked Clinique Redness Solutions. It really helps to cover the redness. You could also just a green corrector, followed by a skin toned concealer. = ) I hope you find what you are looking for! Don't let it get you down! = P

If you're just starting out I'd find a good concealer and foundation. Go to sephora and ask them for help with acne concerned skin. I just got the loreal true match concealer crayon and love it and then use Lorac natural performance foundation over it. If you have oily skin like I do blush some powder over your t-zone (I use neutrogena shine control powder)

I would say use a very good concealer and then use a mineral foundation. Mineral foundation has less of a chance on clogging up your pores. The cover fx concealer is very good and helps the healing process of your acne scars also. It's very full coverage and a little goes a very long way.

Also, use a primer that helps to balance out oils if you have combination skin and use a mattifying primer if you have oily skin. By keeping the oil at bay, you're preventing your concealer and foundation from being absorbed by your pores because the only way you get oily is by your pores opening up.

I think its very important to MOISTURIZE the area affected prior to applying any product... this will help cover any scab/smooth the area.. then I would do foundation and first apply a heavier, thicker concealer. on top of that apply something more creamy and thin and set with powder!

I usually find that covering acne with make up just makes it worse, but what I found that helps is Proactiv's make up range, it feels lighter and dosen't clog the pores as much. Plus, like what Fanny said, the mineral make ups help as well :)

The FX liquid foundation is thick and ment for problem acne prone skin! I used it when I had a lot of acne and it covers it up amazing plus helps it at the same time. Doesn't block your Pores or anything!
