try using a hot wand but the thick one, lots of shops do them but I hear babyliss is a good brand hope this helps :)

I would recommend the diva or babyliss wand depending on how tight you want it would decide if you should get the bigger or smaller one but if you want a nice loose wave I would recommend the larger one :-)

Curl it and then brush it out to loosen them into waves. Or try over-night curls and brush them.
