But the heat in hot yoga does nothing but make it risky for beginners, yoga is great for getting fit but bikram is for experts

I actually found it beneficial for my skin. Sweat all those toxins out. Afterwards you might want to use a cleansing wipe. What I used to do was simply pour warm water down my face in the parking lot afterwards just so the sweat wouldn't dry on my skin and cause havoc. Then I would apply a non-active moisturizer to tide me over till I could get home and take a shower.

Yes shelley! thats exactly what I just did! thanks 💘

I didn't even think about this until now but adding to the danger that Alyx mentioned, if you have any kind of cardiac or pulmonary issues then bikram yoga isn't for you. The heat of the room plus the physical activity can cause strain on the heart and lungs. I actually didn't know that until I mentioned to my cardiologist that I had started taking yoga. Just another thing to think about. Personally, even if I could do bikram yoga, I wouldn't do it. You basically get the same results without the over-sweating.

Sweating is actually good for your pores. It keeps them cleared out. It is, however, very important to wash your face right after you sweat because the sweat will cause bacteria to grow if you leave it, and that will cause pimples.

I personally wouldn't use a cleanser, instead I would spray my face with all natural rose water, you already cleanse your face twice a day, 3 times is too much I think.

Oh and rose water after you wash your face with water and dry it, rose water refreshens your face and has anti bacterial properties

How is that bikram yoga class coming along? I've been wanting to try it. I honestly think it shouldn't make you break out, your detoxing your body from free radicals in your body and some pathogens. I would recommend you taking a shower to wash off the sweat and prevent it from accumulating on your pores when it dries.

Christina its been going great! Afterwards I feel so good about myself , so clean (despite the sweat) , it just makes you feel so healthy. I recommend you try it if you have no muscle issues. & thanks! Thats exactly what I did!

It just can't be described. You have to experience it yourself so you can see how calming it is.
