So, many of you know I dye my hair red. I have been filling in my eyebrows with eyeshadow (Warm Dark Brown) and have recently thought about dying my eyebrows along with my hair to get them to match better. I've heard controversial opinions about it, some saying it's too dangerous to have chemicals that close to your eyes and some saying that it seems weird not to because it helps your hair match better. What are your thoughts? Pros and cons? Thanks guys!! :)

I've always thought about it too. Especially when my hair was red. I switched back and forth from auburn brows and brown brows. I say if you want to do it, then do it! You should be fine as long as you don't put globs of it on your brows haha.

I've done it lol, and I actually tint people's eyesbrows for a living and it's literally just eyebrow dye and very light developer

Thank you @Shanae I'm glad to hear you say that! I haven't found anything that matched my hair color but I was worried that the cons would outweigh the benefits!

@Brittany, did you like it when you dyed your eyebrows? Was there anything that you didn't like about doing it?

Well, I've only done it once because if I tint other people's eyebrows I probably shouldn't be dying them haha! But I didn't mind it, my brow hairs are already dark so I did it to stain the skin underneath more than anything but it didn't burn or anything

No, I don't think there is. I feel like some people are just cautious about things that aren't really too bad. Some people are extremely sensitive there, so that could be why. But I don't think it would be anything serious. I'd definitely do it, but I usually just fill my brows in brown no matter what my color is now.

When I was completely blonde I would dye my eyebrows but only would leave it on for like less than 5 mins because it would change the color so fast. I liked them a little bit but the only negative was whenever my real brow hair was growing out you can see the dark hair with the light hair and it looked ugly lol it was like little tiger stripes on my eyebrows because my natural hair was growing out lol

Lol thank you guys so much!! @Nerissa, I'm sure you still looked beautiful!! And I'd be dying my eyebrows dark still so I hope don't believe it would do that but I'll DEFINITELY watch for that now!! :)

I read an editorial on here about this and all an eyebrow dye is, is aa vegetable based dye and the woman said they told her to keep her eyes shut for 8 minutes abd she said it kinda felt like pepper was in her eyes but it didnt get in them I am going to try to find the article.

Prons - matches your hair, don't need to fill in anymore
Cons - will too keep your hair red? The dye might damage the brow hair and they might fall off. The dye might turn out too harsh or not the way you imagined it.

My natural hair colour is very light blonde and now I have brown hair. Before my eyebrows were non existent they were that light and now I get them tinted and to be honest I prefer it, it's less hassle then filling in!

I have very sensitive skin and I've used brow dye I got from a chemist, it didn't irritate my skin or eyes.

Thank you guys for your opinions!! And @Hailey thank you, I probably wouldn't dye it to perfectly match, but I don't want brown eyebrows with red hair lol so I'd probably try to tint it reddish :) But thank you!
