To splurge or not.

Lately I've been debating whether or not to splurge, spend large amounts of money of skin products or to play it safe with drug store products. I feel as if, if I were to spend money on a product, I want my money's worth.

Enough of my rambling, I wanna hear your guys input on certain products that's worked for you. I have oily prone skin with big pores and occasionally break out.

I am using a brand called syncare. This brand is concentrating on acne prone oily skin for young people. I highly recommended their products because they are not very expensive, plus they work!! :) x try checking 'em out :) hope it helped

I love Liz Earle and Elemis skincare, they're absolutely amazing! Both myself and my mum use them. I have the same skintype as you and it's helped my skin so much.

Say Yes to Carrots is an incredible brand. I started using Say Yes to Tomatoes which is for acne and its worked incredibly! They have other ones such as Cucumber, Grapefruit, etc. and each has a different different purpose (listed on the bottle)

I've been using Biore Black Charcoal cleanser and lately it hasn't been at its full potential with my skin.

When it comes to skin care I have learned that it is usually a good idea to splurge.

Nothing against Yes to Carrots but I have heard that its either amazing or the worst product people have ever used! I'm just warning, I know it was terrible for me (burned the crap out of it, left it red for days) but it works great for some people so beware! My favorite cleansers for acne are Philosophy (clear days ahead; I've been using this one for a year now and, just now had to buy a new bottle a few weeks ago, so you actually spend less than you would on drugstore because they tend to run out faster I've noticed) Murad is also great, and I really like Avon's too and its cheap (not sure on the exact name but its on their site, and in a purple, white, and grey tube).

Something that has completely changed my skin for the better, is my Clarisonic. I actually just bought a new one two days ago. It is by far the best thing I have done for my skin and worth the money! I had my old one for 3 years and I just bought my new one because the old was starting to wear out. But it has improved my skin more than any other cleanser out there! I will never not have one now! The most important thing is to use the proper brush for your skin type (I use the delicate, but if you don't use the right brush, the device doesn't work the best for your skin) and its important to use it daily. I use mine every single night (I have actually only not used it once in the 3 years of having it, and my skin look terrible! So I never forget now!) but anyways, I remove my makeup first, then use the Clarisonic with my Philosophy cleanser. In the mornings I don't use it, I just wash my face with soap and water.

Overall though, I definitely say splurge on your skin!!

I really love cerave am and pm moisterizers, which were recommended to me by Rozberry here on BL. They're amazing on my skin and super affordable. I used to splurge so much on skincare before and these don't break the bank!

I also love and use CeraVe but its not going to help breakouts. I use CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser in the morning and Moisturizing Cream at night (after clarisonic) and in morning...

My favorite splurge recently has been Manuka Honey. I have sensitive skin and it seems to help tremendously with sensitivity, redness, inflammation, and acne. It also helped heal what was basically a hole (done purposely) on my face and even out my skin tone. I've been using it as a mask, cleanser, and manual exfoliant. Pricey but worth it.

Got given Monsia Skincare just before Christmas. I love it, my skin loves it and MH loves it too (he pinches the intense day moisturizer). I would splurge.

Thank you so much Lisa, I think I'll play it safe with the clarisonic due to the amazing reviews from it.
